In our experience, the 2012-2016 CR-V is the most reliable recent generation. The 2004-2006 CR-Vs were good, but there are not that many of them left. The 2007-2011 Honda CR-V had some issues with the air conditioning, but otherwise is very reliable. The 2017+ model years are good, but the smaller turbocharged 1.5-liter engine is more picky in terms of maintenance. In general, non-turbo engines last longer than turbocharged engines.
